Globe subscribers will be slapped with a Php50 penalty fee if they fail to pay on or before their bill’s due date, starting December 1, 2023.
The telecommunications giant recently issued an advisory to its subscribers in a move to encourage subscribers to make timely payments. “Starting December 1, 2023, a Php50 fee will be charged to your account for payments made after your due date. We encourage you to pay on time to keep your services active,” the advisory reads.
As explained by Globe’s consumer mobile business head, Darius Delgado, the fee has been part of the postpaid subscription agreement, and that the company had opted not to enforce it until now. This late payment charge will be levied on customers with mobile postpaid accounts as well as Globe At Home postpaid accounts, per Globe’s FAQs page about bill payments.

Delgado explained that the implementation is expected to affect only a minor segment of Globe’s customer base, as the company has less than five percent of postpaid subscribers versus approximately 95 percent of prepaid users.
In the same advisory, Globe promoted the use of its GlobeOne app, which provides convenient methods for paying bills. This includes e-wallets, credit cards, and bank transfers.
