NOW Telecom, the licensed fourth telco in the country, has signed a memorandum of understanding with SBA Towers Philippines.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, NOW Telecom revealed that the MoU is part of the telco’s roadmap to expand its 5G services in the country.
The company also said that both parties are in the middle of negotiations for the lease of facilities and infrastructure including towers, which will enable NOW to provide telecommunications and Internet services.

SBA Towers Philippines is a subsidiary of US-based tower company SBA Communications and is listed as an independent tower company per its registration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology.
NOW Telecom aims to deliver Internet services to enterprises and homes with speeds of up to 20Gbps. In the same disclosure, the company said that an integral policy to the plan is to form partnerships with trusted vendors that are part of the Clean Network initiative.
