Popular esports teams Cignal Ultra Warriors and PLDT-Smart Omega played a full Mobile Legends:Bang Bang exhibition game hosted by Smart 5G.

Esports athletes used 5G-enabled smartphones and connected to Smart’s 5G network when they played the match at the PLDT building in Makati City, Philippines.

The devices used by the players are the following: OPPO Reno 3 5G, Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, and ZTE Axion 5G.

After the match, Smart also revealed that they are planning to deploy indoor 5G coverage at the training grounds of esports teams competing in The Nationals tournament.

Over the past couple of years, the esports community has grown bigger than ever. In fact, esports made a successful debut at the recently concluded 30th Southeast Asian Games, where Philippine teams managed to win several gold medals in games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Dota 2, and Starcraft II.
