Are you a Smart subscriber who wants the fastest possible internet experience? Get a Samsung or Apple device says Ookla.
In a recent evaluation by Ookla, one of the leading internet testing and analytics firm, it’s been revealed that Samsung and Apple mobile users have the fastest mobile internet experience on the Smart network.
Ookla based this result on the analysis of its Speedtest Intelligence for Q2 2021. Apparently, Samsung and Apple smartphones recorded the fastest internet speed during the said period.
It’s not clear what particular devices topped the list. However, we expect them to be some of the brands’ high-end devices. There’s the Galaxy S21 series, Z Fold 2, and the iPhone 12 series. The latest Z Fold 3 and Flip 3, both 5G-equipped smartphones, should also perform well on the Smart network.
But whatever phone you have, you can still expect a good mobile internet speed from Smart. Recently, Ookla hailed Smart as the fastest mobile network in the Philippines for the first half of 2021. A title that they’ve been holding for four years now.
In Q2 of 2021, Smart 5G has an average download speed of 277.44Mbps and upload of 29.68Mbps. That’s versus Globe’s 110.26Mbps and 9.93Mbps, respectively.
In that same period, Apple smartphones have an average download and upload speeds of 208.76Mbps and 20.25Mbps, respectively.
Meanwhile, Samsung smartphones were apparently the “fastest on Smart across all network technologies” with average download and upload speeds of 28.34Mbps and 6.45Mbps, respectively.
