One of the newest additions to the Galaxy Series Family is the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2. Unlike the earlier version of the Samsung Galaxy Mini, this new handset by Samsung is made with a more competent processor of 800MHz and a much bigger 512Mb of RAM which means that this device would handle multitasking easily with this upgraded tools. It also flaunts a much bigger screen of 3.27 inches with a higher resolution of 320×480 pixels HVGA screen. The Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 will also be shipped carrying Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and it still carrying the 3.15 Megapixel camera(No Auto-Focus and Flash) for some random shots along with the usual android stuff namely: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity support.

This device will target mid-range level type of consumers as for the type of specs it has and also considering that Samsung will also release another budget Android phone in the name of the Samsung Galaxy Pocket. The most revelant upgrade to this device is the 4gb internal memory which will solve the problems of millions of Android users that suffers from the limited memory they have in their device.
The release date was announced as sometime in the 2nd Quarter of 2012. Availability of Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 in the Philippines is still unconfirmed but i believe that Samsung will bring their new baby here in country.
