Along with the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6, Samsung also announced the Galaxy J8.
Being the biggest of them all, the Samsung Galaxy J8 features a 6-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1480 x 720 pixels. The aspect ratio is also 18.5:9, most likely because it doesn’t have a display notch.
Oddly enough, it packs an underwhelming Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. However, it makes up for it in the RAM and storage department with 4GB and 64GB, respectively. Keeping everything running is a relatively large 3,500mAh battery. Another highlight of the Galaxy J8 is its dual camera system on the back. The primary shooter is a 16-megapixel sensor while the secondary is 5-megapixel.
UPDATE: It’s now in the Philippines.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 has an official price of Rs. 18,990 (~Php14,700). It’s pricing and availability in the Philippines are yet to be announced.

Great breakdown of the Samsung Galaxy J8! The specs look impressive for a mid-range device. I’m particularly interested in the camera capabilities. Do you think it holds up well against competitors in the same price range?
