OnePlus has introduced its second-ever smartwatch and this time, it is for those who are on a budget. The OnePlus Nord Watch, like the other Nord devices, aims to be a good daily driver without breaking the bank.
Unlike their first watch with a round face, the OnePlus Nord Watch has a traditional squarish design. It has a 1.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 368 x 448 resolution and a smooth-for-its-use 60Hz refresh rate. The 500-nit peak brightness ensures it’s still visible under the sun.
It comes with a hypoallergenic zinc alloy body and silicone band, which comes in two colors: Deep Blue and Midnight Black. You can also up its looks by choosing from over 100 different watch faces.
Thanks to its sensors, the Nord Watch can track and record 105 different workout modes like running, hiking, football, cricket, and more. It then has IP68 water and dust resistance rating to ensure it is safe from workout sweats to getting caught in the rain.
Sadly, it lacks a built-in GPS to track your outdoor workout route independently. With that, you’d have to rely on your smartphone’s GPS as it pairs to it via the reliable Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
Like a lot of smartwatches today, the Nord has the appropriate sensors to do 24-hour heart rate and blood oxygen SpO2 monitoring, gather sleep quality data, and check your stress levels. Women’s monthly cycle tracker is also present.
It can also control your music, act as a remote camera shutter, receive notifications, and more.
As for the battery, OnePlus claims that it can last for up to 10 days on a single charge and up to 30 days on standby.
The OnePlus Nord Watch has an SRP of INR6,999 (around Php5,000) but is currently discounted to INR4,999 (around Php3,600). This price is for India, with the availability date on both that country and other markets yet to be announced.
