Alcatel’s follow-up to their Idol line is here — the Alcatel Idol 5 and 5S.
Both the Alcatel Idol 5 and 5S share the same all-metal build — a premium construction that has already been a standard to midrange devices today. While the two might look the same, they differ in some aspects. And quite obviously, the Alcatel Idol 5S is the more premium of the two.
Features wise, there’s nothing really too exciting about the duo. Other than having an ultra-thin profile, a “Now Key” button for instant actions (5S only), and a dedicated app for “Dual Social Accounts”, everything is pretty much a standard nowadays. No dual cameras, secondary screen, or a stylus. If you want something a little crazy, you can check out the also newly released Alcatel A7 and A7 XL.
