You might not have heard of them before, but Bluboo has been around for quite some time already. Well, maybe not as long as the others, but this company tries to make an impression by releasing some interesting smartphones. And to fill up their portfolio, they are releasing the new Bluboo S1 and the Bluboo S8.
The main thing that makes the Bluboo S1 and Bluboo S8 are their oddly familiar designs. If it weren’t obvious, the S1 looks really identical to the Doogee Mix, which was based on the Xiaomi Mi Mix.
On the other hand, the Bluboo S8 got both its design inspiration and name in Samsung’s current flagship device, the Galaxy S8. The two has the same edge-to-edge screen and rounded corners. But ironically, it looks like the Bluboo S8 did a better job on the fingerprint scanner’s placement.
Also, another key difference is in the specs. The S1 has a sharper 5.5-inch FHD screen, while the latter boasts a taller 5.7-inch with a lower resolution of HD+. The Bluboo S8 might have better looks than the former, but it is actually the cheaper alternative between the two.
The Bluboo S1 features a Helio P25 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage and a 3500mAh battery. Meanwhile, the S8 only has a MediaTek MT6750T chipset, with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 3450mAh battery. Overall, though, it’s not too shabby for a compromise.
On the brighter note, both devices get to have a dual-camera setup at the back. The S1 will enjoy a 16-megapixel + 3-megapixel configuration, while the latter is equipped with a 13-megapixel + 3-megapixel sensors.
