Just when you thought they were done, here comes Cherry Mobile again and they’re releasing yet another Android Go device. Now, we have the Cherry Mobile Flare HD 4.0, which is one of the numerous releases that the company made this week.
The Cherry Mobile Flare HD 4.0 has a lot of similarities to the Flare J2 2018, albeit with a better display. This one has a 5-inch IPS HD screen, which is way better than the TN panel found on the latter.
But other than the screen and the slightly different design, these two devices are pretty much the same. The Cherry Mobile Flare HD 4.0 has an unnamed 1.3GHz quad-core processor, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Despite the underpowered hardware, you can still expect decent performance from this handset thanks to its light and efficient Android 8 Oreo Go Edition software. The special OS might also be beneficial to its rather small 2,000mAh battery.
There’s a 5-megapixel front camera that you can hold on to in case you really need to take selfies. On the back, we have an 8-megapixel primary camera for casual snaps.
