Cherry Mobile finally unveiled their new quad-core powered android phone, the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0. The rumors proved to be true and it turned out to be somehow disappointing for some as it has less competitive specs than the A919i Duo.
It’s been teased over the past few weeks and today Cherry Mobile finally confirmed it. The leaked specs were also true and accurate.
Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 will sport the same processor used in the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0 which is the 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Cortex A5 processor, 1GB of RAM, and Adreno 203 GPU. As you can see, when compared to the MyPhone A919i Duo, it’s nothing compared to that beast but the lower price tag of this smartphone can’t be ignored.
Priced at only Php7,999, the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 brings a lot of value for money including its large 5-inch qHD scratch resistant display and a standard 4GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. Other features are the 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and connectivity options such as WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Another interesting point is that the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 is priced equally with the Cherry Mobile Omega HD. The latter has a 5.0-inch HD (1280×720) Dragon Trail Glass Display, 12-megapixel BSI camera, and a slightly bigger 2100mAh battery. The only culprit on Omega HD is the lackluster MT6577 Dual-core 1GHz processor which tends to slow down a bit due to the high resolution of the device. But as always, each smartphone has their own pros and cons so you have to make a choice which one suits you better.
The official SRP of Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 is Php7,999 and it’s expected to go on sale starting next week. Hopefully, CM won’t have a hard time rolling this thing out just like their other android devices which often faced supply shortage.

i have my cherry mobile skyfire 2.0 right now i’m using it, okay naman siya, maganda ang features palag palag din xa sa mga branded tulad ng mga iphone, kung yung mga nagagawa lang naman ang usapan at ung astig ng design niya, palag palag to… kaso ang skyfire d talaga xa pangsounds d kalakasan ang sounds niya pero ok na yun, kesa malakas masyado sounds mo sira tenga mo… maganda features nia may play store din xa andun na lahat mas malinaw pa ang camera niya kesa sa iphone 5 sinubukan namin ipagkumpara ng pinsan ko ang camera, pero siyempre lamang padin ang iphone 5, siyempre apple un pero ang cm with that 8k sobrang sulit kasi pumapalag sa lahat. looks, use, games, apps, resolution, etc. I strongly reccomend it

BS na konlusyon, Marrkaxel. kac based on price and the competition, depende yan sa pag gamit. at di mu rin masasabing mas maganda ang competitor brands such as star mobile and MyPhone. Dahil “MOSTLY IF NOT ALL” ng Droid phones netong local brands na to eh “RE-BRANDED”(I’m not sure kung alam mo ibig sabihin non, not directly questioning your knowledge, though.. Just sayin).. at “Mostly if not all” din ay Made by CHINESE manufacturers.. binili lang ng local brands to sell in the phil for a more affordable price(you heard that right.. CHEAP is not the right term for it.. AFFORDABLE is)…(again – RE-BRANDING).. Good advice sa mga hesitant buyers: Hindi na brand ang binibili ngayon… ang features and benefits na.. and the value for the money… I’d say good-buy etong mga releases na to. If you wanna look cool naman and more on a quality kinda guy. edi bumili ka ng Galaxy s4 or Note 2 or what not. Spend some cash and stop talking BS.

Ang cherry mobile kasi madali talaga masira. Walang quality ang product nila. Ung tipong mumurahin lang sa china. Bulok yung klasi ng phone nila. Nakabili ako ng unit nila. Walang kwenta.

Mas ok nga ang a919i, pero sa mga hindi gamer sulit na rin to.. at mas prefer ko ang design/form factor ng cherry mobile kaysa sa myphone.. At kung tatanggalin lang siguro nila yung Ph map/archipelago logo/ or kung ano man yun. mas tataas ang sales nila, tingin ko lang.
