Cherry Mobile finally unveiled their new quad-core powered android phone, the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0. The rumors proved to be true and it turned out to be somehow disappointing for some as it has less competitive specs than the A919i Duo.
It’s been teased over the past few weeks and today Cherry Mobile finally confirmed it. The leaked specs were also true and accurate.
Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 will sport the same processor used in the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0 which is the 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Cortex A5 processor, 1GB of RAM, and Adreno 203 GPU. As you can see, when compared to the MyPhone A919i Duo, it’s nothing compared to that beast but the lower price tag of this smartphone can’t be ignored.
Priced at only Php7,999, the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 brings a lot of value for money including its large 5-inch qHD scratch resistant display and a standard 4GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. Other features are the 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and connectivity options such as WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Another interesting point is that the Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 is priced equally with the Cherry Mobile Omega HD. The latter has a 5.0-inch HD (1280×720) Dragon Trail Glass Display, 12-megapixel BSI camera, and a slightly bigger 2100mAh battery. The only culprit on Omega HD is the lackluster MT6577 Dual-core 1GHz processor which tends to slow down a bit due to the high resolution of the device. But as always, each smartphone has their own pros and cons so you have to make a choice which one suits you better.
The official SRP of Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0 is Php7,999 and it’s expected to go on sale starting next week. Hopefully, CM won’t have a hard time rolling this thing out just like their other android devices which often faced supply shortage.

buti na lng po december last year ko lng nabili skyfire ko..lahat ng issues nyo po ok na..ung battery ko matagal ko xa nagagamit..2days ako nasa seminar then sa byahe at pagbreak nmin nagsasounds at naggames ako,ang byahe ko is from laguna to edsa mandaluyong back and forth..pero naglowbat fone ko after nung ika 2days ng seminar nmin..sa line nagagamit ko ang call,ang katawagan ko pa sis-in-law ko na nasa jeddah..saka 0.9gb ang nagagamit ko na memory..at ang bilis nya sa mga games..maganda ang cam,ang sounds..kaya nde na ko naglagay ng ibang apps tulad ng cam360 tttpod at poweramp na dati ko nilalagay sa mga previous android fones na ngamit ko..dahil sa magandang naexperience ko with CM,marami na ko naengganyo na mag CM na rin..ang husband
ko gamit nya omega xl at ang anak nmin naka fusion bolt na tablet..
if i may ask, kapag naka data or wifi connected po ba kayo ganun padin ung performance ng battery? kasi ung akin i just bought it last friday 2x po ako mg charge kasi bilis maka low bat ng data connection and mobile hotspot. im not sure if it is normal performance ng battery.
i just bought this last fri and so far happy naman ako not until few days after.. ung sound settings ng eerror at ayaw ng ma open error message is “Unfortunately, settings has stop” then automatic sya magcclose. i did the basic trouble shooting like reboot, restart, tanggalin battery etc but still ganun padin. tapos 2x na sya ng reboot magisa habang nka open instagram ko. i thought na baka full na memory pero i moved all the apps, games etc sa sd card pero ganun padin. plan ko dalhin later sa pinagbilhan q sa market market lets see if they will replace the phone.
