Cherry Mobile has finally launched its latest (and probably last) addition to its Superion tablet line for the year. Now available and selling for Php7,499, the Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey also happens to be the most pricey (hence, the superior) of the lot.

While certainly priced more than all its Superion siblings, the Odyssey does boast the best specs in the line. It offers a 1.2GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek, running behind a 7.85-inch LCD screen with IPS technology. The rear camera touts a resolution of 5 megapixels, while onboard RAM is 1GB.

The front camera has a decent 2MP resolution, which should be fine for the occasional selfie shots and Skype video chats. The internal storage is 8GB, with the actual free space even smaller because of the preinstalled Jelly Bean OS and bundled software. On the plus side, external expansion is ample at up to 32GB. The Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey’s battery capacity is also relatively large at 4000mAh, complemented by a free Power Bank unit that’s comes with every purchase of the tablet.

Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey Specs

  • Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
  • 7.85-inch IPS LCD (768×1024 XGA), ~163ppi
  • 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8389 processor
  • PowerVR SGX 544 GPU
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB internal storage
  • microSD support up to 32GB
  • 5-megapixel main camera, with LED flash
  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • Wi-Fi, FM Radio
  • 3G via Single SIM slot
  • Bluetooth
  • GPS, A-GPS
  • 4000mAh battery

Unlike the Voyager with its dual-SIM configuration and calling capabilities, the Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey only has one SIM slot. You can reportedly still make phone calls through the latter, though.

For Php7,499, the Cherry Mobile Superion Odyssey is now up for grabs at Cherry Mobile concept stores and accredited dealers nationwide. Other tablets belonging to the Cherry Mobile Superion line include the Discover and Explorer.

do i need to replace, or is this a factory error???

    thanks

  4. Noob here, tanong ko lang po, pag 3G capable ba ang isang tablet ibig sabihin phone function na rin ba or 3G lang talaga gumagana minus the phone function?

    1. I don’t know, pero for the Odyssey it CAN call, text and brose even while using a broadband sim.

    2. yup phone function na rin. kelangan ng sim para mka 3g since 3g is a mobile data connection. dpende nlng sa area kung available ang 3g. mahirap gawing phone for everyday use to kc 7.8″ rin ang screen size mejo awkward pag may tumawag sau sa pulbic :D

      1. Tama! Awkward nga pag ginamit mo to in public as a phone, sobrang laki hehehe… naalala ko tuloy yung mga movies ni Tony Ferrer nun, yung Agent X44 cya hehehe yung celphone nya yung takong ng sapatos nya hehehe…. awkward!!! Hahahaha!!

        1. nsa gumagamit at ng dadala yan, meron namang headset, e2ng odyssey pwede maging ipadmini look

    3. Nope. Some tablets have 3g data signal for internet purposes but not call and text functions.

        1. Basahin mong maigi yung tanong ni Totoy Moolah sir bago ka
magcomment. Sinagot ko lang ang tanong niya. And for your information, I
do have CM Superion Odyssey. Good luck sayo ウロ シラ. Intindihin muna ang tanong bago sumagot. :)

    4. NO NO NO. 3G has something to do with Internet but it doesn’t automatically mean that a 3G tablet has a call and text function.
