The Itel S24 has been released as a refresh to one of the brand’s most popular entry-level smartphones.

From the UNISOC processor of the S23, the Itel S24 has been upgraded to the MediaTek Helio G91 processor — a fresh new chipset that came out just a few months ago. It is paired with up to a large 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

It also comes with an acceptable 6.6-inch HD+ display and managed to have a high 90Hz refresh rate and a clean punch-hole for the upgraded 8-megapixel selfie camera (from the 5-megapixel of the S23).

One of the main upgrades is the 108-megapixel main camera from the 50-megapixels of its predecessor. Still, no ultra-wide camera or macro, but you do get the obligatory depth sensor.

A standard 5,000mAh battery powers the whole device, which is charged by a good 18W adapter with bypass charging support that sends power directly to the chipset to reduce heat. It also has Itel’s color-changing tech for the rear panel.

It still ships with Android 13 and also lacks a fingerprint scanner. But to make up for it, it comes with dual DTS speakers, which is rare in its segment. It also has Itel’s Dynamic Bar, which works like Apple’s Dynamic Island.
