nokia 7 specs features

It’s that time of the year again. Smartphone brands are on the roll in releasing new products to gear up for the holiday season. And one of them is Nokia, with the new Nokia 7.

Thanks to HMD Global, Nokia’s comeback is coming in smooth and really polished. With this new release, it’s clear that HMD is really trying to bring back the crown to Nokia.

The Nokia 7 is positioned in the midrange market — a category that’s been a big hit in most Asian countries, especially in the Philippines. But unlike most competing devices like the Huawei Nova 2i and the Vivo V7+, Nokia’s bet doesn’t sport the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio screen.

Instead, Nokia is sticking with 16:9. The new handset will have a 5.2-inch IPS display with a sharp 1920 x 1080 resolution, protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass.

The device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 chipset, available in 4GB and 6GB RAM configurations.

Moreover, the Nokia 7 is powered by a 3000mah battery and it runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat according to the the box, but it’s Android 8.0 Oreo ready as well. All these are encased in a 7000 series aluminum chassis. So rest assured that the Nokia 7 is built well, and looking really sharp.

Probably where this phone shines is in capturing moments. The company is also introducing “Bothie” (No, not “Booty”). This lets you simultaneously use the 16-megapixel primary camera and the wide-angle 5-megapixel shooter in front side-by-side.
