OPPO has introduced a new member to the A-series in China, the OPPO A2.
The new OPPO A2 feels like a rebranded A79 5G that came out last week as it bears a similar design and specs list. That includes a unique design pattern for the Green variant but with the introduction of a completely new Purple color with a design that looks like water splashes.
Like the A79 5G, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor, but with a more generous 12GB of RAM and an option between 256GB and 512GB of storage.

The battery has the usual 5,000mAh capacity with 33W charging speeds. It is also IP54 dust and splash-resistant for extra peace of mind.
On the front, you can spot the 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A punch hole on top holds the 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Around the back, we have a 50-megapixel main shooter joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
The OPPO A2 is available in China at a price of CNY1,699 (~Php13,000) and CNY1,799 (~Php13,800) for the 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, respectively.
