Experts say OPPO Find X2 series’ display is amazing
OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro both pack a 6.7-inch AMOLED display which earned an A+ rating from DisplayMate. The display review outfit equally qualified the Find X2 series display with adjectives such as “top tie and world-class” display.
OPPO says the Find X2 uses Samsung’s Y-OCTA technology, making the panel thinner. As you should know by now, the Find X2 series features support for 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz sampling rate. The display is designed to intelligently navigate between 120Hz and 60Hz depending on what the user is doing and the apps running. However, apps that support 120Hz will be displayed as such. Also, the system UI is displayed at 120Hz as default.
OPPO says the device will utilize a technique called “split sampling” to avoid interference. What this means is that when the image is being updated by the display driver, the touch sampling hardware is disabled. The display also utilizes several features which ensure a smooth and swift operation.
In addition, OPPO collaborated with Samsung who supplied the display and Qualcomm, the chipmaker to optimize the Find X2 series display’s 10-bit HDR support. The models’ displays were able to achieve 0.4 JNCD absolute color accuracy said to be “visually indistinguishable from perfect”.
OPPO Find X2 also features an AI-powered adjustment system which tweaks the color temperature and brightness of the screen based on the ambient light. Color sensors aid the cameras to capture more accurate colors. One of the two color sensors is located by the side of the speaker at the top of the display while the second one is located by the side of the LED flash.
In the Philippines, OPPO Find X2 Pro has a price tag of Php65,990. We expect the company to reveal the country-specific pricing as global release dates come nearer.
