OPPO Reno 8 5G launched in the Philippines

OPPO’s new high-end superstar, the Reno 8 5G, have made its way to the Philippines.

The OPPO Reno 8 5G made its global debut last July after coming out in China back in May. We’ll be getting the international model, which boasts a sharp 50-megapixel main camera that uses an IMX766 sensor. It is joined by the usuals: 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro.

This device also boasts a muscle-y MediaTek Dimensity 1300 octa-core processor, paired with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU to power its feature-packed 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint scanner is underneath the screen for a cleaner look.

It ships with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is sadly non-expandable as it lacks a microSD card slot.

Being a brand new processor, the Reno 8 obviously has 5G connectivity, dual-band WiFi 6, and the latest Bluetooth 5.3 standard.

It then ships with a 4,500mAh non-removable battery, paired with a whopping 80W fast charger. Handling the software is the latest Android 12 version with OPPO’s ColorOS 12.1 interface on top.

The OPPO Reno 8 5G has an official price of Php27,999 in the Philippines and comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is now up for pre-order in the Philippines, alongside the also-new Reno 8Z 5G.
