OPPO made the Reno 9A, another midrange 5G-equipped offering, and decided to first launch it in Japan.
The OPPO Reno 9A comes with a set of features we’re already expecting to see on a midrange phone such as this — well, besides the relatively smaller 4,500mAh battery.

It uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, putting it on par with a lot of competing devices in this category. It is paired with an acceptable 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The Reno 9A comes with a unique design unlike the rest of the series. The distinct camera island on the back hosts a variety of useful shooters (no depth sensor is what we mean): a 48-megapixel main, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro.

A 16-megapixel selfie camera sits at the top left corner of the compact 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with an apt FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint scanner is located beneath the display.
It’s not a completely waterproof smartphone, but it does come with an IPX8 rating, which means it can withstand accidental water splashes.

The OPPO Reno 9A is available in Japan for a price of JPY40,656 (~Php16,100). No word yet if it will arrive in other markets.
