Nowadays, phone companies are investing more and more into their mid-range phone lineups. This is because of the rising competition in the mid-range market. A single feature could mean a lot in swaying the customer to purchase a particular phone versus other brands.
This is why brands like Realme are investing a lot of money in making phones – both the Realme XT and Realme 5 Pro are great examples of this.
Realme has recently launched a set of mid-range smartphones here in the Philippines. The Realme 5 Pro, which was released on October 12 and the newest phone from their line up, the Realme XT, was released on October 29.
You might be wondering, what’s the main difference between the two products? Are they just the same? Well, they are the same in some ways but we’ll delve into their differences later.
Let’s talk about the Realme XT first. Basically, the best and most important feature for the XT is its 64-megapixel quad-camera setup. They’re advertising the phone to have a “flagship-level” camera and rightly so! When zoomed in, the pictures will still look crisp and detailed.
On the other hand, the Realme 5 Pro has a 48-megapixel quad-camera set up that takes great night pictures thanks to its multi-frame engine and HDR. Along with this, one of its other main features is the 119° Wide angle lens which allows you to capture 151% more from your phone camera.
From the information above, you might conclude that they only differ slightly from one another – but is that really the case? In this Realme XT and Realme 5 Pro specs comparison, our goal is not only to help you decide on which phone to purchase but also inform you about which phone provides you the best value for your money.

As you can see, both phones are fairly similar to one another but they do have a significant difference which we would say are their main cameras.
The Realme XT has a 64-megapixel main shooter, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel macro. and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. That’s compared to the Realme 5 Pro’s 48-megapixel main shooter. Although it has the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Front camera wise, they are the same.
Another difference would be the display and screen protection of the two phones. The Realme XT has the superior protection in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 vs the Corning Gorilla Glass 3+. Another one is the Super AMOLED Display of the XT compared to the LCD IPS screen of the 5 Pro.
