One of the most popular gaming-centric smartphone brands in the market just launched its latest flagship phones. Check out the new Red Magic 7S and 7S Pro.
As expected, both the new Red Magic 7S and 7S Pro are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. It is one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful, chipset in the market today.
Like their cousins, both models have cooling fans to aid the chipset. The vanilla uses a 9-layer system while the Pro model has a better 10-layer system. Both shares new shark fin-design blades for better airflow with less noise.
Another key differences are the batteries and charging. The Red Magic 7S has a 4,500mAh battery with 120W charging support, albeit it comes with a 165W GaN charger in the box that you can use on other gadgets, even laptops.
The Pro variant enjoys a bigger 5,000mAh battery with a faster 135W charging support. The fans also help to keep the devices from overheating when charging.
Also exclusive to the Pro model are the under-display selfie camera. The Red Magic 7S still doesn’t have a notch or punch-hole as the company managed to put the front sensor on the top bezel.
Both models then share the same 64-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2-megapixel macro lens.
The duo also share the same 6.8-inch AMOLED screen, albeit the vanilla has 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling, while the Pro has 120Hz and 960Hz, respectively.
Both units get shoulder game triggers with a 520Hz touch sampling rate, RGB lighting, and a physical headphone jack.
For the colors, the Red Magic 7S has a transparent model that shows off the RGB lights on the fan, while the Pro variant has RGB touches on the back panel.
The Red Magic 7S comes in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB variants for a price of CNY3,999 (around Php33,400) and CNY4,799 (around Php40,000), respectively. A CNY100 (around Php800) extra payment is needed for the transparent model. There’s also a 16GB/512GB model for CNY5,499 (around Php45,900) that’s only available in the special color.
Meanwhile, the Red Magic 7S Pro is available in a 12GB/256GB variant for CNY5,199 (around Php43,400) and an additional CNY100 for the transparent model. Also available is a 16GB/512GB variant for the same color, while a whopping 18GB/1TB version is coming on a later date for CNY7,499 (around Php62,600).
