Samsung-Galaxy-A6s-A9s

Samsung held an event in China and announced two new smartphones. Here we have the Samsung Galaxy A6s and the Galaxy A9s.

Let’s start with the Samsung Galaxy A6s. This is Sammy’s first ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) device. What an ODM smartphone basically means is, the device was made from a different factory from the brand who actually launched it.

As you can see, the design of the Galaxy A6s is a bit different from the usual Galaxy devices that we’re seeing. But on the upside, it does come with a decent set of features.

The device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, with 6GB of RAM, and an option between 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage. There’s a 12-megapixel selfie camera on the front and a 12-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back.

To keep it juiced up, the Samsung Galaxy A6s have a 3,300mAh battery, which is then being charged through its USB Type-C port.

Next stop, we have the Samsung Galaxy A9s, which is basically a renamed Galaxy A9 2018 for the Chinese market. This means that the A9s will have a quad-camera setup on the back, which is the A9 2018’s highlight feature.

We also have the large 6.3-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen on the front and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor on the inside. The chipset consists of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

It comes with a decent 3,800mAh battery and is available in three color options (Lemonade Blue, Caviar Black, and Bubblegum Pink).

The Samsung Galaxy A6s will retail for CNY1,800 (~Php13,900), while the Samsung Galaxy A9s has a price of CNY3,500 (~Php27,000). As stated earlier, the Galaxy A9s is just renamed version of the Galaxy A9 2018, which will arrive in the Philippines on December 1 for Php32,990.

On the other hand, it’s still not clear if the Galaxy A6s will comere here in the country. However, we do have the Galaxy A6+ as an alternative to that, which is now available locally for Php22,990.
