Samsung has officially launched their newest midrange smartphones in the Philippines.

Several weeks after being made official, Samsung is finally bringing their affordable midrange offerings in the country. Unlike the premium Galaxy A8 series, these smartphones are much cheaper.

However, Samsung isn’t really keen on giving the best hardware for the money. Instead, the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6 Plus 2018 are equipped with modest features which are definitely not lucrative at its price point. They are more like the J-series, with the Samsung Infinity Displays.

Samsung is going against the latest design trend, retaining the aluminum build for both phones. While glass looks absolutely more elegant, it’s also more fragile so it’s a double-edged sword.

The Galaxy A6 2018 has a suggested retail price (SRP) of Php16,490 while the Galaxy A6+ 2018 costs Php22,990.

  1. Uses in house soc but still the pricing are waaayyy OA. No wonder Samsung has lost ground in India (which is the 2nd biggest smartphone market after china) getting beat by a brand like Xiaomi, who gives value for money products. Until Samsung give us value for money products, you will continue to eat dust.
