Samsung has released a new premium-looking budget device called the Samsung Galaxy F55.
The Samsung Galaxy F55, if you haven’t noticed, is a rebranded Galaxy C55 that came out in China last month, which was also based on a different device, the Galaxy M55 that came out in India the month before.
That said, the device has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with an option between 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
It also has a large 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and stereo speakers. Keeping the lights on is a standard 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging.
There’s a sharp 50-megapixel selfie camera on top of the display. On the back, we have a triple camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main shooter with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
It also boasts an ultra-thin build with vegan leather material available in Black and Orange. The best part is, that it runs on the latest Android 14-based One UI 6.1 and is secured to get four Android generation upgrades and five years of security patches.
The Samsung Galaxy F55 8GB/128GB has an SRP of INR26,999 (~Php18,800), the 8GB/256GB is at INR29,999 (~Php20,900), while the 12GB/256GB is at INR32,999 (~Php23,000). It’s now available in India while the release in the Philippines — whether it’s the F55, C55, or the M55 — is yet to be known.
