As a follow-up to Samsung Galaxy S2‘s success, Samsung finally decided to manufacture a slightly identical little brother of the famous S2. Samsung, the leading company in producing electronics and mobile manufacturing in Korea, was also rumored to be in the course of the development to the successor of their most successful flagship phone to date which is the Samsung Galaxy S2. But before the new top-notch phone release, this “light” version of the S2 will be taking the spotlight first for quite some time.

Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G is the new addition to Samsung’s line of devices that has the ability of the ultimate 4G connection. Being a member of the Galaxy Family surely states that it is prepared in achieving success just like its ancestors always do because they have a good appeal to the masses. The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will be replacing the Samsung Galaxy S 4G in T-Mobile’s line up which replaced the Galaxy Vibrant a year ago.

The handset will be accessing T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 42MBps network combined with the Galaxy S2’s dual-core processor will definitely be a big plus because this might even erase the word “slow” in some of the user’s dictionary. However, we should not forget the existence of smartphones with Quad-core processors.

Aside from its top features, the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G also has that beautiful and elegant finish which makes it look good even with Samsung’s cheap looking material. The look  was supported by a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen which produces extremely vivid colors for an awesome viewing experience. Plus, it is powered by a Qualcomm APQ8060 SoC processor clocked at 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and an Adreno 220 GPU which is great for a good gaming system. Both the CPU and GPU were identical to the Galaxy S2 as stated above. However, despite this close copy, the Galaxy S Blaze 4G lacks some of the premium features to reach the top-level making it a mid-tier device. For just only a few points it lacked, the Samsung Galaxy S3 might as well give us the answers when it is released.

Here are the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G:

  • 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Capacitive screen 480×800 pixels
  • Qualcomm APQ8060 1.5GHz dual-core proccessor
  • Adreno 220 GPU
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB internal memory (expandable to up to 32GB via micro SD slot)

The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G is really a great phone if you’re looking for a bang for your buck device. With it’s almost flagship specs, the Blaze 4G will be a star in the mid-range category. It is also one of the most balanced handsets that’s up for grabs in the market and has a unique feel. The Galaxy S Blaze 4G is retailed at a sheer price of $200 in contract before a $50 mail-in rebate.
