Last month, rumors of Galaxy S4 variants were regularly reported by news outlets. Two of them — the Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S4 Mini — have already been confirmed, but the hybrid camera-phone Galaxy S4 Zoom has yet to receive an official announcement from the Korean smartphone maker. But now, it seems the company is almost ready to debut the Zoom, as several product photos have emerged online.
With the first official product photo first unveiled by SamMobile, TechTastic soon confirmed the Galaxy S4 Zoom’s legitimacy by releasing three more pictures that are realistic this time. As seen in the pictures, the S4 Zoom resembles the original Galaxy Camera by using a smartphone screen layout at the front and a dedicated camera at the rear. The hybrid device is even reminiscent of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4, with its stretched out physical home button between two capacitive buttons.
Technical specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom are yet to be confirmed, although the device is expected to come with a 4.3” qHD sAMOLED screen, a dual-core 1.6GHz CPU, 8GB internal storage with microSD card expansion, and the latest Android Jelly Bean (4.2.2). The rear camera is believed to be 16 megapixels.
