Samsung W2017

Samsung has launched the follow-up to last year’s flip smartphone -the Samsung W2017.

Even though it looks like a weird handset, it’s very capable inside – sporting specifications meant for actual flagships. Samsung is no stranger in making flip Android phones. In fact, they have made tons of handsets like this in the past.

The Samsung W2017 was appropriately named after its predecessor, the W2016. It’s been leaked last June, but most of the details were a bit off.

As the rumor suggests, it has two displays. Samsung W2017 has two 4.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screens: one inside and another one outside. Given this kind of setup, it’s not surprising to know that it’s very thick. It measures 127.8 x 61.4 x 15.8 mm and it has a hefty weight of 208 grams because of the metal chassis.

It’s running on Android Marshmallow and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset instead of Exynos. There’s 4GB RAM of RAM and 64GB of storage which is expandable via microSD.
