It’s better late than never – that best describes Torque’s launch of their new set of Droidz Series. It’s almost halfway in December but this is the first time that we’ve heard about their new line-up. Unfortunately, we will not see them before the end of the year as they are all scheduled for a 2013 release.

The most affordable android phone on this batch is Torque Droidz Atom. It will be powered by a Dual-core 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and runs on Android 4.0 ICS – the usual configuration by local mobile phone companies lately. It has a 4.0-inch display with a 480×800 pixel resolution just like the Cherry Mobile Flare and the MyPhone A898 Duo. Actually, it carries almost the same specs as other brands but it’s no surprise – not really a bad thing though.

Following the Droidz Atom is the Torque Droidz Blast. It sports the same Dual-core processor and 512MB RAM but the real asset of the Droidz Blast is the Jelly Bean OS which is still not found on most high-end smartphones of international manufacturers. In fact, they may not even get it better the end of 2012. While being on Jelly Bean is a good thing, we should all expect that it will be not so smooth since the recommended RAM to run Jelly Bean is 1GB. It also has a better 8MP shooter to cater the picture taking needs and uploading it to the popular social networking sites is very easy thanks to the 3G connectivity.
