Torque just announced their own quad-core smartphone, the Torque Droidz Quad. It will be cheapest quad-core android phone in the PH market if it will be released immediately. We all know Torque launched their devices last December, but they didn’t quite made it in time.
The Torque Droidz Quad features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor which is the same as the CPU found on the MP A919i, CM OHD 2.0, and CM Blaze 2.0. Unfortunately, it also comes with a mediocre 512MB of RAM which means that you can’t fully maximize the potential power of the MT6589.
Torque Droidz Quad Specs
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
- Dual-SIM, Dual Standby
- 4.5-inch FWVGA Capacitive Display
- 1.2GHz quad-core MT6589 processor
- 512MB RAM
- 4GB internal storage
- expandable up to 32GB via microSD
- 8-megapixel autofocus main camera with LED Flash
- VGA front camera
- WiFi, WiFi hotspot
- 3G, HSPA+
- GPS, A-GPS
Torque didn’t provide any information regarding the battery capacity of the device so I guess you guys should hold your money and wait ’till that info gets out. You know, these days it’s really important to have a good battery life.
What do you guys think about the Torque Droidz Quad? Would you choose it over the more powerful (and incredibly thin!) Cherry Mobile Razor? Let us know in the comments!
why is it that applications cannot be installed to the external sd card even it is set as the primary storage. can somebody clear me up on this.
