Xiaomi has introduced the cheapest member of its flagship line. Meet the no-compromise Xiaomi 12 Lite.
Launched after the Xiaomi 12 series and 12S series, the Xiaomi 12 Lite boasts a couple of non-flagship, yet still top-notch specs and features.
For one, it boasts a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel, complete with HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 120Hz refresh rate with 240Hz touch sampling rate for improved responsiveness when gaming.
There are three cameras on the back. The main one uses a 108-megapixel HM2 sensor from Samsung. Below it is the 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
On the front, we have a pretty-packed 32-megapixel selfie-snapper. It uses a Samsung GD2 sensor and has autofocus, f/2.5 aperture, dual flashes, and cool software tricks like selfie portrait and selfie glow.
Being a midrange phone, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G octa-core processor. This 6nm-process chip can be had with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage.
Keeping the lights on is a 4,300mAh battery. Not the biggest, but it made the device as thin as possible. It is paired with a whopping 67W power adapter for charging.
Software is handled by the latest Android 12 operating system with MIUI 13 interface on top.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite has a price of USD399 (around Php22,300), USD449 (around Php25,100), and USD499 (around Php27,900) for the 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB models, respectively. They are now available in select markets while release details in the Philippines are yet to be known.
