After being leaked for a couple of times, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth has been finally made official.

Announced in alongside the new MIUI 12 operating system, the main highlight of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth is its 8-megapixel periscope-style telephoto lens that can do 5x of optical zoom and 50x of hybrid zoom. It’s accompanied by an optical image stabilization (OIS) so you don’t need a tripod when you’re zoomed all the way in.

Yup, it’s probably the first midrange device to have a periscope lens — a feature we used to only see in flagships like the Galaxy S20 Ultra. It’s partnered by a 48-megapixel main shooter, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

On the front, we have a notch on the 6.57-inch AMOLED screen that houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The display has a 180Hz touch sampling for improved responsiveness.

Much like the Mi 10 Lite, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor and is available in 6GB/64GB and 8GB/256GB RAM and storage options. The chipset also enables its 5G connectivity, although countries like the Philippines might get the 4G-only model.

There’s a 4,160mAh battery to juice it up and a 22.5W fast charging support via USB Type-C.
