In a bid to fight off the ongoing pandemic, COVID-19, Mineski held a tournament that began on April 14, 2020, and sees Team One Cherry undefeated.
Competing against each other in the event are teams from Cherry Mobile, CoinsPH, 31 Digitals, Cellboy X Oppo, and BrenPro, Inc.
Participants of the said event battled themselves competitively online among games ranging from Call of Duty, Mobile Legends, and Defense of the Ancients (DoTA 2).
Making for an undisputed leader of the game was Team Cherry One at the score of 11-0, subsequently claiming the title as the champion last April 23, 2020.
The winning team’s roster was comprised of Cherry Mobile employees from across different departments, namely Warehouse, Quality Control, and PDD.
All members were reportedly using Cherry Mobile’s current flagship, Flare S8 Max.
Mineski, the Philippine-based and largest esports organization in Southeast Asia has conducted a tournament, aptly called Mineski Lockdown Games.
The event sought to raise a Php1M Philippine Peso fund for the Philippine General Hospital Medical Center and pay tribute to gaming amidst an ongoing crisis.
