At long last, the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro finally made their way in the Philippines. Just like their predecessors, both devices will come with disruptive price tags.
As you all know, the Redmi Note 7 from before it is considered as the best bang-for-the-buck device in its category. And with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, the company is stepping it up further.
This one now comes with a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor. There’s also the quad-camera setup on the back. It’s led by a 48-megapixel primary sensor, with the addition of an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has an official price in the Philippines of Php7,990 for the 3GB/32GB model, Php8,990 for the 4GB/64GB, and Php9,990 for the 4GB/128GB. It will be initially available in Lazada and Mi Authorized stores and kiosks starting October 12, 2019.

Xiaomi Philippines has also surprised everybody when they finally brought the Pro model in the country. Here we have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, a midrange device that boasts the brand new 64-megapixel ISOCELL camera from Samsung.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is one of the first devices to sport the latest MediaTek Helio G90T octa-core processor. It also has a 6.53-inch FHD+ screen on the front, while on the inside there’s a 4,500mAh battery that the company claims can last for up to 2 days.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro will have a starting price of Php11,490 for the 6GB/64GB variant, while the 6GB/128GB model will be at Php12,990. It will also go on sale in the Philippines starting October 12, 2019.
