Xiaomi has a new budget smartphone. Meet the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S might look new, but we’ve actually seen it before. This device is the international version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro that was launched in India a few weeks ago.
It features a 6.67-inch IPS screen, which lacks a 90Hz refresh rate, unlike some of its competition. There’s a punch-hole on the top for the 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The new camera design is seen on the back. It houses a 48-megapixel main shooter, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 5-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with the controversial Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor. You can get it with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

It will be available in select SouthEast Asian markets starting April 7. The official pricing and availability here in the Philippines is yet to be announced. But for a perspective, it will be available in Singapore for SGD299 (~Php10,500) and SGD349 (~Php12,300) for the 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB models, respectively.
