Chinese tech brands have been on the roll in the last few years, almost overtaking some of the more prominent ones.
The most interesting fight is seen in the sub-Php10k price range. Just recently, the Realme 6 was announced, an addition to the brand’s growing number of bang-for-the-buck smartphones. It features a lot of impressive features, which are a first for lower midrange devices like this.
To retaliate from these emerging brands, tech giant Samsung has been coming out with value-oriented offerings from their Galaxy M line. And just recently, they came up with the new Samsung Galaxy M21 for the sub-Php10k price range.
Today in our Samsung Galaxy M21 versus Realme 6 specifications and features comparison, we’ll see how far Chinese brands have come, and what big names like Samsung are doing to keep up.

Well, I guess we have a clear winner here. The Samsung Galaxy M21 might be one of the most value-oriented smartphones that Samsung ever made, but the table above clearly shows that the Realme 6 offers way more for the same price.
In fact, the Realme 6 is miles ahead of the Galaxy M21. Here are the reasons why.
For starters, it has a faster screen. This handset has a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, which will make playing games and doing basic stuff look seamless.
Speaking of which, the Realme 6 boasts a MediaTek Helio G90T octa-core processor. It’s currently considered as the fastest midrange chipset in the market, easily overtaking the Exynos 9611 of the Samsung Galaxy M21.
Realme is also giving you a flagship-level experience with an 8GB option for the Realme 6, while the Galaxy M21 is stuck at 6GB.
The Realme 6 also took the win in the camera department. This device has a 64-megapixel primary shooter, while the latter uses a 48-megapixel main shooter.

Both devices share the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide cameras. Although, the Realme 6’s quad-camera setup comes with two 2-megapixel sensors. On the other hand, the Galaxy M21 settles for a triple-camera setup, completed by a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
To Samsung’s credit, the Galaxy M21 does come with a 6,000mAh battery, which is noticeably bigger than the 4,000mAh capacity than the Realme 6.
But, Realme 6 takes back the win by its 30W flash charging. That’s twice as fast as the 15W charging that the Samsung Galaxy M21 has.
The best part is, both devices’ price starts at just INR12,999 (~Php9,000). So, clearly, the Realme 6 takes home the trophy on this one.
