YAAO 6000 Plus

The biggest Android phone battery ever.

We’ve seen a lot of smartphones with big batteries before. From ASUS, Samsung, Lenovo, Gionee, and Xiaomi – name it and almost every manufacturer at least have one. Even local mobile brands like Cherry Mobile and O+ USA have their fair share. There’s the Flare J5, J7, S5 Power, as well as the O+ Ultra series to name a few.

But we’ve seen nothing like this. The YAAO 6000 Plus is a smartphone with an incredible 10,900mAh battery capacity – more than twice or thrice the capacity of most handsets today.

Too bad it’s not a complete package. While it does shine in the longevity, inside this beast are puppy-like specifications. It features a 5-inch 720p screen with only 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. Its processor is a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 chipset, which means it can also help in prolonging the battery life. To be honest, it would’ve been great if they equipped the YAAO 6000 Plus with at least a mid-range set of hardware. This kind of specifications can’t really do a lot. If you’re not gonna use it for something, then why have great battery life?

At the back, there’s a 13-megapixel sensor while the front is a 5-megapixel one. Of course, there’s LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity options just like every modern mobile phone.

Another important point is the charging part. With a battery as massive as 10,900mAh, it’ll probably fill up in around 10-12 hours. That means that you shouldn’t really drain it up to the last juice, or else get ready to wait a long time. Lastly, its huge battery made it 18.1mm thick. Yes, more than twice the dimensions of other smartphones right now. It’s running on Android-based YunOS on top of Marshmallow.

YAAO 6000 Plus is priced at $218 (~Php10,900) and it will be available in China in Gold and Silver colors.
