After dropping the console and PC versions back in early September and releasing the iOS version on the last week of September, NBA 2K19’s Android version is now out and available for download in the Google Play Store just in time for the new NBA season.

With the delayed release for the Android platform, you’d expect 2K to release a full game free of bugs and missing content  but that’s not the case here.

The Android version of NBA 2K19 is full of bugs that include; no sound when dribbling the basketball and even laggy commentary. Along with those bugs, Online Play, which is a very popular and requested feature, didn’t make it on release.

Controller support is also lacking or somewhat non-existent. If you’re the type of gamer that likes to customize their controls, you might have a bad time playing this game. Let’s hope 2K adds/refines this very important feature soon, so that players who use game controllers won’t be stuck playing the game through the touchscreen.

For those unaware, here are some of the new features they’ve included in NBA 2K19 Mobile.

  • Story Mode
  • MyCareer
  • Online Match Play
  • 2K Beats
  • Improved Gameplay

NBA 2K19 Mobile Android hardware and system requirements

  • At least 3GB worth of free space (2.84GB to be exact)
  • Decent processor and at least 2GB of RAM

The game is currently priced at $7.99 USD or roughly Php430.00 when converted into Philippine Peso. It is the same price as the iOS version, even though the Android version is missing a lot of features that are already available in iOS.

In my opinion, 2K should’ve waited to release the Android version of the game until the game is 100% complete. It’s not only because it’s unfair for the Android users to pay full price for an incomplete game, but it’s also because it’s the RIGHT thing to do.

What do you guys think? Will you be getting the game even though it’s not yet polished?
