Grab Philippines has added to its super-app a beta feature for car rental services.

As opposed to its regular ride-hailing service, Grab’s new service allows users to book a car and travel within Metro Manila for a set duration: 4, 8 or 12 hours. Users need to book in advance for at least four hours before the scheduled ride, with available service hours between 8AM and 6PM

Grab formed a partnership with Makati-based car rental agency Hertz PH for this service and to give users a variety of vehicles to rent. These vehicles include sedans, vans, and multi-purpose vehicles whose max seating capacity range from 3 to 14 passengers.

For this car rental service, Grab only offers the cashless payment option. The car, fuel, and driver are factored into the price to be paid, whereas overtime, toll, and other fees are exclusive and paid separately as needed. Users may also incur fees for late cancellations and no-shows.

At the moment, the test service only covers pick-up and drop-off to a limited number of locations: Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasay, Pasig, and Taguig (including Bonifacio Global City).
