Xiaomi has been talking about its first electric car for quite some time, but now, we have a solid look at its design and features.
The company has already filed a sales license in China, which then reveals the key details about the device in a regulatory document from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
It is said that the vehicles will be called the Xiaomi SU7 and SU7 Max, which will be manufactured by BAIC Group, another Chinese company. There’s also going to be an SU7 Pro variant, albeit the specs were not spotted.

While essentially the same, one is faster with a top speed of 265kmph (vs 210kmph), and the SU7 Max weighs 2,205kg while the other is at 1,980kg. Their designs look sporty, with the front looking a bit like the Tesla Model 3.

The Xiaomi SU7 has dimensions of 4,997 x 1,963 x 1,455mm, a LiDAR sensor, and two powertrain options: RWD with a 220kW motor and AWD with 275kW + 220kW setup. The wheelbase is 3,000mm.
Of course, the new vehicles will come with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS, which is meant to unify all Xiaomi products — from smartphones to vehicles.
