If you missed the news earlier this month, the former Huawei sub-brand HONOR is returning to the Philippines. Though no devices have been confirmed yet, expect a slew of smartphones, laptops and other devices in the local market as early as Q4 2022.
HONOR, which is known for low-cost, mid-tier smartphones, also shared that it has the capability to produce premium products through its very own R&D and manufacturing factory, aka the HONOR Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park.
According to HONOR CEO George Zhao, the industrial park features “world-class production, testing and quality control equipment that ensures our premium products live up to our customers’ high expectations.”

To provide quality guarantee in its premium products and enable its manufacturing tech to keep pace with innovation, HONOR has 20 percent of staff at the industrial park working on research and development.
Another vital aspect that HONOR has adopted at the industrial park is automation. The company shared that 75 percent of its production line is automated to prevent or reduce defects and issues resulting from human error.

From high-precision assembly machines to automated battery assembly equipment, HONOR revealed that they developed in-house 40 percent of its automated production equipment.
