The Nokia X6 generated quite a lot of buzz the moment it was leaked. People were excited about this device, specifically because Nokia and HMD Global did an awesome job with their previous releases.
The Huawei Mate 10 caught everyone’s attention due to its stunning design, capable performance, and good cameras — all for a reasonable price tag. A trend that they were able to continue in the P20 series.
Everyone’s attention is to these two brands — since they promise to offer the best value for the money on their products. So now, we are curious which between their latest releases actually deliver.

These two had a pretty interesting battle. As expected, these two brands really went neck and neck in this fight as they both try to incorporate the best hardware and features for their midrange offerings.
Both the Nokia X6 and the Huawei P20 Lite almost have the same features, but they do differ in some areas.
For starters, the Nokia X6 comes in a cleaner and dated version of Android. It runs on stock Android 8.1 Oreo, while the competition only comes with Android 8.0 Oreo with their own EMUI 8.0 user-interface layered on top.

In addition, Nokia tapped Qualcomm to power the X6 with a Snapdragon 636 processor, while Huawei used their own HiSilicon Kirin 650 processor for the P20 Lite. The two looks similar on paper, but most benchmark apps still favor Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset.
The similarities continue in the camera department as both devices come with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. However, the front-facing LED flash on the P20 Lite definitely gain it some extra points.
Both phones have dual cameras on the back. They share the same 16-megapixel primary camera, although the Nokia X6’s secondary 5-megapixel sensor that shoots in monochrome is obviously more appealing than the 2-megapixel extra camera on the P20 Lite which is only used for depth-sensing for the portrait mode feature.
But other than those minor differences, these two devices definitely came from the same league. They share the same 5.8-inch FHD+ IPS display and battery capacity as well.
Although the Nokia X6 is yet to be announced in the Phillippines, there’s a huge chance that the 4GB/64GB is the model that would arrive here — the same configuration as the P20 Lite.
Speaking of availability, the Huawei P20 Lite is now available nationwide for Php15,990. On the other hand, there’s no official word yet regarding the Nokia X6’s official price and launch date here in the Philippines.
However, the device costs CNY1,449 (~Php11,900) in China for the 4GB/64GB model. The price might still change when it gets here when taxes and other duties come to play, but we doubt that it will exceed the price of the P20 Lite.
So if you’re willing to wait, then reserve your money first to wait and see how the Nokia X6 is going to be priced. Otherwise, just head on and go get yourself a P20 Lite as it is also a great value for the money smartphone.
