In today’s specs comparison, we’ll be stacking up two of the new premium midrange devices from popular Chinese brands.
First, we have Xiaomi, and the new Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite. This new device sports a lot of high-end specs, even the new 5G connectivity standard, so you don’t need to spend a fortune on a flagship smartphone.

To go against it, we have another newly-released device from the Huawei sub-brand, the Honor 30S.
This one is the first device to sport the new Kirin 810 processor, which enables the 5G connectivity that makes it competitive in this new era of smartphones.

With that, in our Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G vs Honor 30S 5G specs comparison, we’ll see which between these new devices is better and help you decide which one to get. Let’s start!

Both the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and Honor 30S are really interesting device, and possibly some of the best smartphones that you can get for the price.
They have their own advantages and disadvantages against each other. However, it appears that you’re getting more benefits with the Honor 30S than the Mi 10 Lite.

For starters, it has a better set of cameras. The Honor device comes with a 64-megapixel main shooter, while the latter only has a 48-megapixel main camera. The Honor 30s shall provide sharper and overall better images.
Both devices do come with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor. Although, the 8-megapixel telephoto on the Honor 30S will give you more flexibility than the 5-megapixel macro camera of the Mi 10 Lite.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite may have a marginally bigger 4,160mAh battery (vs 4,000mAh). Albeit, most people might prefer the 40W fast charging on the Honor device. That’s twice as fast as the 20W charging on the Mi 10 Lite.
As stated earlier, the Kirin 820 5G is a new processor. However, early reports suggests that it has impressive benchmark scores. It even performs better than the Snapdragon 855 and Kirin 980 processor.

This was made possible because of its 3x Cortex-A76 cores, which obviously outpowers the single Cortex-A76 core than the Snapdragon 765 5G have.
Honor is also giving you an option to get the 30S with 256GB of storage, while the Mi 10 Lite only has 128GB. On the upside, both devices have a slot of storage expansion.

Still, there are some reasons that you might want to go with the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G, instead.
If you are not aware, Honor is still banned from using Google Mobile Services (GMS). But Huawei is hard at work to improve its own Huawei Mobile Services, and even added more Google apps alternatives in Huawei App Gallery.

Still, most people might still prefer the familiarity of Google apps.
There’s also the Mi 10 Lite’s AMOLED screen, which can provide deeper contrast and more vibrant colors than the IPS screen on the former. It also enables the device’s advanced in-display fingerprint scanner.

But if you can live without GMS, then you’re money’s worth will be on the Honor 30S. The pricing and availability of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G and Honor 30S 5G in most markets — especially here in the Philippines — are yet to be announced. So stay tuned for that.
