The 5G era is really here. As telco companies are hard-at-work in bringing this latest network standard in more areas, smartphone manufacturers are also doing its best to provide 5G-equipped devices to more consumers.
That’s why we’re now starting to see midrange smartphones that come with 5G. One of them is the latest Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite.
Just like the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, the Lite version has impressive cameras, a capable processor, and other features that make it a great bang-for-the-buck product.

However, it’s not the only 5G device in this category. Not long ago, HMD Global also released the Nokia 8.3 5G.
Just like the former, Nokia’s latest midrange device can be a great alternative if you can’t spend too much on a 5G-equipped flagship device.

So, here in our Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G versus Nokia 8.3 5G specifications and features comparison, we’ll see which between these premium midrange devices is worth your money.

If specs and specs alone is what we’re here for, then there’s no denying that the Nokia 8.3 5G is the clear winner here.
As you just saw, this thing has a 6.81-inch screen, versus the smaller 6.57-inch display on the latter. Plus, Nokia’s offering has a cleaner punch-hole cutout on the top left for the selfie camera, while Xiaomi’s bet uses a traditional waterdrop notch.

Speaking of which, the Nokia 8.3 5G has better cameras than the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite. The punch-hole houses a 24-megapixel selfie camera, sharper than the 16-megapixel sensor that the latter has.
The Nokia option also has a 64-megapixel primary camera that’s obviously better than the 48-megapixel on the latter. Plus, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter versus the 8-megapixels on the Mi 10 Lite.

Nokia also put a slightly bigger 4,500mAh battery on the Nokia 8.3, while the Mi 10 Lite settles for a 4,160mAh capacity.
Clearly, the Nokia 8.3 5G is better than the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G. The only problem is, it is very expensive for a midrange device. In fact, it’s almost the price of the flagship Mi 10.

So, if the overall value for the money is what you’re after, then you might be better off settling with the Xiaomi option.
By doing so, you’re getting the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor, with flagship-level 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. That same processor enables its 5G connectivity.
The best part is, you’re actually getting a more vibrant AMOLED panel on the Mi 10 Lite than the IPS panel on the Nokia 8.3.

Ultimately, we gotta hand the win to the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, primarily because it has the same Snapdragon 765G processor and 5G connectivity for a much less asking price.
