AOC, Porsche teams up for chic monitors with clever cabling solution

It looks like Porsche is fond of partnering with tech brands to come up with posh products. We’ve already seen this luxury car maker come up with a special Huawei Mate 9 design before. And now, they’re jumping to computer peripherals with AOC Porsche monitors.

AOC and Studio F. A. Porsche have joined forces to come up with not one, but two gorgeous monitors. The two shares the same design and only differs in size, but we’ll address it anyway.

The AOC Porsche monitors looks sleek and elegant. The panel itself is only 5.2mm thin, making it slimmer than most smartphones that are out today. This is even thinner than LG’s wallpaper TV, but, unlike that mad marvel of technology, these monitors still have a relatively large bump at the bottom part to house all the necessary hardware.

But where the party really starts is in the ingenious stand. The base has this twisted asymmetrical stand, a design touch you’d see in luxury types of furniture. And taking a look at the back, you’ll see how clean this monitor is. The panel itself literally doesn’t have any ports on it. Instead, AOC and Porsche routed the display and power signals to the stand.

At the end of the stand, you’ll meet a brick that houses the HDMI and power ports — no more ugly cables hanging. And if you missed it, yes, it only has a single HDMI port. With only 60Hz refresh rate, you might want to look elsewhere if you’re shopping for a gaming display.
