ASUS and Microsoft teamed up for the new ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X.
What makes the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X special from the standard ROG Ally is the interface. It runs on a custom version of Windows 11 Home that includes an Xbox full-screen experience designed for controllers.
This interface will list games from Microsoft Store, as well as those from Steam and Epic Games. Microsoft also said they are working with developers to help players identify games that are optimized for handheld consoles.
Of course, those who will get the new consoles will get a free limited-time Game Pass subscription.
As for the specs, the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X is beefier, sporting an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM at 8000MHz speeds, 1TB of storage, and an 80Wh battery.

Meanwhile, the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally has an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, with 16GB LPDDR5X 6400MHz RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 60Wh battery.
Both models have a 7-inch FHD+ LCD with FreeSync Premium, fancy Corning Gorilla Glass, and a DXC Anti-Reflection coating.

They also have WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, a headphone jack, and a UHS-II microSD card slot. The Xbox Ally has a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port while the Xbox Ally X has a more modern USB 4.
The controller layout is similar to the standard ROG Ally, which is already heavily based on the Xbox Wireless Controller. There’s also get RGB-lit analog sticks, 2x assignable back buttons, Xbox button, and more.

The ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X will be initially available in a bunch of markets, and probably soon in the Philippines. Pricing is yet to be announced.
