It’s been some time since Qualcomm dipped its toes in the consumer electronics market, and now rumor has it that the company is rearing to give it another go. The product? Apparently, it’s a gaming console similar to the Nintendo Switch, but it’ll be powered by Android.

Folks at Android Police were able to see some images of the Qualcomm gaming device (though the final form factor may be different when it releases), and they found some similarities with Nintendo’s hybrid console. These include detachable controllers and the ability to switch to an external display.

Android 12 will come preinstalled, and it will have a custom launcher and full support for Play Store apps. It may also possibly have cloud streaming and support for the Epic Games Store. Other planned features include a 6000mAh battery, 5G capability, and a screen size somewhere around 6.65 inches.

Qualcomm plans to launch its gaming device in the first quarter of 2022.
