The IESF World Esports Championship 2023 just ended the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament with a bang, crowning the Philippine team SIBOL as its champion.
Faced against Indonesia during the grand finals, SIBOL emerged victorious in a best-of-five series, giving the Filipino team the lion’s share of the $100,000 grand prize. A first for the team, it sets a milestone achievement following an arduous journey that saw the group fight their way from the Qualifiers up to the Grand Finals.
Having taken place in Iași, Romania, the event laid the ground for sixteen international Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams as they struggle across the lower and upper brackets, vying to win the highly-coveted IESF MLBB champion title.

Noteworthy of their performances during the competition are Saudi Arabia and Egypt, which both demonstrated an unparalleled rivalry, earning their third and fourth place in the ranking, respectively.
MOONTON Games’ Head of Esports Ecosystem Ray Ng congratulated Team SIBOL for “bringing home the gold.”
Ray also highlighted the event’s “tremendous success,” including the “professionalism and sportsmanship” of the participating teams.
