The PEN program seeks to bolster the transmission of education in schools, highlighting the aspects of connectivity, broadcast, and digital security. More specifically, it seeks to build a digital interconnectedness among public schools as well as DepEd offices and pave way for learners to gain broader access to DepEd-sponsored programs and other learning platforms.
A project that has been at least a year in the making, the two government agencies have been in talks about PEN since April 2020.
