So you were able to enroll in the open beta/early access version of Realme UI 3.0 and had fun tinkering with the new features and latest changes, but now you’d like to go back to the stable Realme UI 2.0. Rolling back is easy. Here’s how.

Remember to back up your files before proceeding. Another important thing to note is that once you leave the early access/open beta version of Realme UI 3.0, you won’t be able to return should you change your mind after rolling back.

How to rollback Realme UI from 3.0 to 2.0

First, download the right rollback package for your phone. The download size is around 3.9GB, so you might want to download via Wi-Fi to avoid using up your data.

On the Realme 8i, go to recovery mode by switching the phone off and then simultaneously long pressing the volume down and power buttons until the recovery screen appears. Choose your preferred language, then select Install From Storage. Enter your screen lock password if asked. Find the location where the package was downloaded and tap the package to begin the rollback.

On the Realme 9i, enable Developer Mode. Go to Settings > About Phone and tap the banner on top that says “Realme UI 3.0 Software Version.” Tap the kebab (three dots) menu at the top right of your screen, select Local Install, and find and select the downloaded package to begin the rollback.
