PLDT has officially announced their new affordable pay-as-you-go internet service, the PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi.
The PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi is basically a plug and play device that consumers can take anywhere they want to, as long as there’s a power source to connect to. It is capable of handling and providing internet connectivity to up to five (5) different devices. From smartphones, laptops, and tablets, everything is supported provided that they are WiFi-ready.
But what’s so different about the PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi? Is it just like another pocket WiFi? The short answer is no. The reason why it’s different is its specifically designed for home use with its low-frequency 700MHz LTE band which can penetrate walls, houses, and buildings. Powered by SMART’s LTE network, the company is confident that it will bring fast internet to the masses.

Since it’s a prepaid device, it needs a mobile data subscription to work. The base plan is the Home Boost 50 promo, which comes with 1GB of open access data and an additional 300MB for YouTube, Vimeo, and Spinnr for 30 days. Adding another 1GB of data allocation will only cost Php15 by using the Home Boost 15 promo valid for 1 day.
Another benefit of using PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi is it has no lock-in period and monthly payments. Every time there’s a need for it, simply top it up and subscribe to promos before using it.
The PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi price is Php1,995 and it comes with a FREE 10GB data allocation valid for 7 days. It will be available in PLDT stores and authorized retailers nationwide. Customers can also choose to get it in installment options through Lendr. All they have to do is pay the Php495 downpayment and pay the rest of the amount for Php370/week.
